S/S15 – Flares

The revival of the oh so flattering flare jeans is what’s up next on my style radar.

I like perhaps many of you have been emotionally and physically attached to my skinny jeans for at least the last decade and couldn’t imagine another denim cut entering my life or wardrobe !!

However that was until my denim Moto TOPSHOP flairs arrived in the post early last month.

To be brutally honest they were ordered as a result of an impulsive online shopping session late the very same night my January paycheck was due to lodge into my account. I had just finished reading the January issue of Vogue magazine and was on a serious seventies revival buzz. Although I was still pretty skeptical on would this shape would really flatter and draw me away from my skinny jean everyday uniform style?!

When they finally arrived to my door with Mr. Postman I hurried on upstairs to investigate and try on my flares. I was pleasantly surprised on how flattering they really are!

-The style I purchased are a super strong elastic denim that shapes the hips and tum ideally giving the body a great shape.

- The flared ends actually balance the overall shape of the legs and are super flattering on the thighs.

Overall I’m pretty delighted with my new purchase and would urge and recommend you all to take the leap and try something a little different this season. They are the perfect nod to the seventies revival trends that are absolutely huge for the coming season and If you mix them with your favorite paired back staples you will be comfortably on trend without looking like you have just stepped off the set of “That seventies show”.
